The power of the Dometic PLB40 is supplied by integrated Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells. Engineered for use in harsh outdoor environments, its rugged design will keep your gear charged and ready even on the harshest expeditions. Lightweight, with ergonomically designed stainless steel handle, the PLB40 is easy to carry, while an integrated DC-DC charger offers three convenient ways to charge via: the vehicle 12 V socket, solar panel or AC power. The user-friendly, integrated LCD display provides important information on performance including: the battery capacity, charging/discharging status and output status.

Tough design marked with IP44 rating

Popular Dometic products like the CFX3 35 and 75DZ compressor cool boxes and the PLB 40 battery pack are marked with an IP44 rating. IP stands for Ingress Protection, which considers the extent to which a product is protected against penetration by solid and liquid particles. An IP44 rating verifies that the product has been tested and proven to have effective protection against solid objects larger than 1 mm, such as tools and small wires, as well as against splash water from any angle. In other words, your Dometic CFX3 compressor cool box and the PLB 40 portable power pack are splash-proof and therefore fit for the rigours of outdoor use.
